Ingredients
For Pizza:
- 1 basic Italian pizza dough portion
- ¼ cup barbecue sauce
- 1 cup cooked shrimp
- Salt and pepper
- ½ lime
- 6 ounces (1½ cups) shredded mozzarella cheese
- ¼ cup cilantro, chopped
- ¼ cup red onion, finely chopped
For Dough:
- 3¼ cups bread flour
- 1 tablespoon rye flour
- 1 envelope active dry yeast
- 1 teaspoon kosher salt
- 1½-2 cups warm water
- 1½ teaspoons honey
- Olive oil for greasing
Instructions
- Make Dough: Mix flours, yeast and salt. Add honey-water mixture. Knead, rise 1 hour. Divide into 2 balls.
- Prep Pizza: Roll dough to 12-inch circle. Pre-bake 6 minutes at 375° F.
- Assemble: Spread BBQ sauce, add seasoned shrimp and cheese.
- Bake: 4 minutes until cheese melts.
- Top: Add cilantro and onion. Serve immediately.
