Ingredients
- 6 chicken tenders
- ½ cup all-purpose flour
- 3 cups cooking oil
- 1 (1-ounce) ranch seasoning packet
- 1 cup cheddar jack cheese
- 2 cups romaine hearts, chopped
- 2 large flour tortillas
- 3 eggs, beaten
- 1 ½ cups sour cream
- ½ cup buttermilk
- 1 tsp. salt
- ½ tsp. pepper
- ½ tsp. paprika
Instructions
- Lightly season the chicken tenders with salt, pepper and paprika.
- Dip each tender into the beaten eggs, then cover in flour.
- Fry the tenders in a deep skillet with hot oil over medium-high heat for 5-6 minutes until golden brown and cooked through. Transfer to a plate lined with paper towels to drain.
- In a small bowl, whisk together the sour cream, buttermilk and ranch seasoning packet until the sauce is smooth.
- Lay out the tortillas and spread the ranch sauce down the center of each one. Top with chopped romaine lettuce, the fried chicken tenders and shredded cheese.
- Fold up the bottom edge of the tortilla, then roll it tightly. Serve immediately while warm. You can enjoy it as is or with a side of extra dipping sauce.
