Ingredients

Grilled Fruit:

  • 1 ripe pineapple, peeled and cored
  • Assorted fruit (mango, peaches, nectarines)
  • ¼ cup honey
  • ¼ cup melted butter
  • 2 tablespoons chopped mint

Vanilla Sauce:

  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 3 tablespoons flour
  • 1 cup milk
  • ½ cup sugar
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla
  • 1 cup heavy cream
Instructions

For Fruit:

  1. Cut pineapple into wedges/slices. Prepare other fruits.
  2. Mix honey, butter and mint; brush on fruit.
  3. Grill over medium heat until caramelized, basting occasionally.

For Sauce:

  1. In a saucepan over medium heat, melt the remaining 3 tablespoons of butter.
  2. Whisk in the flour and cook for 1 minute, stirring constantly, to create a roux.
  3. Gradually whisk in the milk and sugar, continuing to whisk until the sauce thickens and is smooth.
  4. Chill completely, then fold in whipped cream.
