Ingredients
Grilled Fruit:
- 1 ripe pineapple, peeled and cored
- Assorted fruit (mango, peaches, nectarines)
- ¼ cup honey
- ¼ cup melted butter
- 2 tablespoons chopped mint
Vanilla Sauce:
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 3 tablespoons flour
- 1 cup milk
- ½ cup sugar
- 2 teaspoons vanilla
- 1 cup heavy cream
Instructions
For Fruit:
- Cut pineapple into wedges/slices. Prepare other fruits.
- Mix honey, butter and mint; brush on fruit.
- Grill over medium heat until caramelized, basting occasionally.
For Sauce:
- In a saucepan over medium heat, melt the remaining 3 tablespoons of butter.
- Whisk in the flour and cook for 1 minute, stirring constantly, to create a roux.
- Gradually whisk in the milk and sugar, continuing to whisk until the sauce thickens and is smooth.
- Chill completely, then fold in whipped cream.
