Ingredients
- 1½ cups 2% plain Greek yogurt
- ⅓ cup 2% milk
- 1 (16-ounce) bag frozen dark sweet cherries
- ¾ cup pomegranate juice
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- ¾ teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 6 ice cubes
Toppings:
- ½ cup chopped pistachios
- ½ cup fresh pomegranate seeds
Instructions
- In blender, combine cherries, yogurt, pomegranate juice, milk, vanilla, cinnamon and ice cubes.
- Blend until smooth but thick (adjust with extra milk or yogurt as needed).
- Divide among 4 bowls.
- Top each with 2 tablespoons pistachios and 2 tablespoons pomegranate seeds.
Notes/Additions
- Pomegranate Tip: Buy pre-seeded pomegranates or buy whole pomegranates and seed them underwater to prevent stains
- Protein Boost: Add 1 scoop whey protein powder
- Storage: Best enjoyed fresh (doesn't store well)
