Ingredients
  • 2 puff pastry sheets
  • 4 slices provolone cheese
  • 12 oz. shaved beef
  • 1 cup beef stock
  • ½ white onion
  • 1 Tbsp. minced garlic
  • Worcestershire sauce
  • Rosemary
  • Salt and pepper
  • 1 egg
     
Instructions
  1. Preheat the oven to 400 degrees.
  2. In a skillet over medium heat, brown the shaved beef. Add the diced onion, minced garlic and your desired seasonings, such as salt and pepper, and cook until the onions are soft. Pour in the beef stock and a dash of Worcestershire sauce, then add the rosemary.
  3. Cover and simmer for about 20 minutes, or until the liquid has mostly reduced.
  4. Lay one sheet of puff pastry on a parchment-lined baking sheet. Spoon the beef filling into the center, leaving a border of about 1 inch around the edges.
  5. Layer the provolone cheese over the top, then cover with the second sheet of puff pastry.
  6. Crimp the edges with a fork to seal; brush the top lightly with an egg wash.
  7. Bake the pastry at 400 degrees for about 25 minutes, or until golden brown and flaky.
