Ingredients
- ½ cup melted butter
- ½ cup brown sugar
- ¼ cup white sugar
- 1 egg
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1 ¼ cups all-purpose flour
- ½ tsp. baking powder
- ½ tsp. salt
- ¾ cup chocolate chips
- Vanilla ice cream, for serving
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
- In a medium bowl, whisk together the melted butter, brown sugar and white sugar.
- To the butter mixture, add the egg and vanilla and mix well.
- In the same bowl, stir in the flour, baking powder and salt until just combined.
- Using a spatula, fold in most of the chocolate chips.
- In a greased 9-inch cast-iron skillet, spread the dough evenly.
- Top the dough with the remaining chocolate chips.
- Bake for 20 to 25 minutes, removing the skillet from the oven while the center is still soft.
- Serve the cookie warm with a massive scoop of vanilla ice cream.
